Win a Fantastic Wildlife Book
with Rhyme and Reason!
Rhyme & Reason Bookshop at Hunter's Bar in
Sheffield specialises in books for children and
young people. The shop is situated on Ecclesall
Road at Hunter's Bar roundabout, and is an Aladdin's
Cave of colourful picture books, stories and factual
books on almost every topic you could think of.
Children visiting the shop are encouraged to browse,
and friendly staff are available to recommend
good reads for any age group.
The shop has a Grown-Ups Corner with a range of
award-winning fiction as well as books of local
interest, travel books, poetry and much more besides.
A Parenting section offers books with tips for
raising happy children and advice on the health
and well-being of babies and older children. School
teachers often come to Rhyme & Reason to look
for books to use for SEAL (social and emotional
aspects of learning) which is another speciality
area of the shop.
Natural history is a very popular subject for
readers of all ages, particularly towards the
Spring when we tend to become aware of nesting
birds and the birth of baby animals. Towards the
end of winter the Rhyme & Reason staff team
enjoys preparing new displays of books celebrating
Spring, including spotters' guides, books about
the life cycles of mammals, insects and birds
as well as sticker books and lift the flap books
for little children.
So we've drawn up a special quiz for Theo's newsletter,
looking forward to Spring and the Easter holidays.
If you'd like to enter and have a chance of winning
one of 5 books about birds or animals, you just
have to answer the following questions about animals
and wildlife:
1. What is the name given to a baby cow?
2. What is the name given to a baby swan?
3. What is the name given to a baby kangaroo?
4. What kind of insect turns into a butterfly?
Closing date for all entries is
Friday 2nd April 2010.
We look forward to meeting you when
you come to visit Rhyme & Reason and have
a browse. The shop is at 681 Ecclesall Road, Sheffield
